Die Suchmaschine arbeitet so ähnlich wie Google. Das Kombinieren von Suchworten führt immer zu einer engeren Auswahl. Eine Eingabe von [Katzen Hunde] zeigt Bilder, die beide Worte irgendwo in der Bildbeschreibung, Stichworten, Überschrift, Stadt, Land oder Datum haben. Benutzen sie keine " + - & AND OR * Eingabehilfen.

Einfach nur Leertaste als Worttrenner benutzen.

Die Suchmaschine findet auch Datumsangaben im Format JJJJMMTT oder auch Teile davon.

ZB. die Eingabe von [1999] zeigt alle Bilder des Jahres 1999, [199908] alle vom August 1999, [Wende 9006] zeigt Bilder vom Juni 1990 die das Wort "Wende" in Bildbeschreibung, Stichworten oder Überschrift, enthalten.

Download (Passwort geschützt, vorher registrieren!)

Auf der Preview Seite einfach auf den Diskettenknopf klicken und das Hochaufgelöste Bild wird in das Browserfenster geladen. Nach dem download kann es auf dem lokalen Rechner gespeichert werden. Dazu klicken Windows Benutzer mit der rechten Maustaste ins Bild. Mac Benutzer koenne das Bild einfach auf den Desktop ziehen oder CTRL-Taste/Mausklick benutzen. Selbstverständlich geht auch die "Speichern unter" bzw. "Sichern als" Funktion des Browser Datei Menüs.

Bild als e-mail Anhang senden

Alternativ zum direkten Download ins Browserfenster, kann man sich die Bilddatei auch als e-mail zusenden. Das spart Zeit denn Sie muessen nicht auf den Download warten. Dazu einfach auf den Postkasten Button klicken. Der server schickt Ihnen das Bild dann als e-mail Anhang an Ihre registrierte e-mail Adresse.

The search engine works similar to the one in yahoo!

Combining search words will narrow the selection. If you type in the words [ cat dog ] those pictures with the words 'cat' and 'dog' anywhere in the caption, keywords or headline will show up. Do not use any jokers, wildcards like '*', '+', '&' '-' signs.No AND or OR.

Just space separate the words, this will make the combination!

You may use double qoutes "word" to search for a single word instead of a string.

You can also search for dates, but the date has to be typed in, in a special format YYYYMMDD or parts of it.

ex. [ 19980927] will show all pictures taken in 27th of september 1998.

If you type in [ Schroeder 9809 ] all pictures of the German Bundeskanzler taken in September 1998 will be shown.

Download hires pictures: (is password protected, please register).

Clicking on the little disk button will load the hires picture into your browser. After completing the download, you may save the picture to your local computer. Windows user click with the right mouse button into the picture, Mac user drag&drop or hit the CTRL key while clicking in the picture.

Picture send as e-mail attachment

Alternatively you might let the engine automaticely e-mail the hires picture to you. That saves your time, ´cause you don´t have to wait for the download. For this click on the mailbox button. But keep in mind, the engine will send the picture to the e-mail address you have preregistered in the Registration section. If you can´t recieve bigger attachments on your e-mail address, prefer the direct download!
